Men’s Soccer:
The Thunder men’s soccer team opened the season against Dakota County Technical College (DCTC), falling 5–0. NCC came out slow and struggled to find the energy and execution needed to compete at its best. While the result was not what the team wanted, the match provided an opportunity to identify areas for improvement and make adjustments moving forward.
Women’s Soccer:
The NCC women’s soccer team also faced DCTC which was shorthanded, with only one substitute available, but battled throughout the contest. Goalkeeper Kelsey Pink made several strong saves throughout the match. NCC created three scoring opportunities of its own, narrowly missing each time, but still fell by a score of 2-0

Men’s Soccer:
The Thunder made program history against Riverland Community College, earning a 3–0 victory and recording the first shutout in NCC Thunder men’s soccer history Sunday, August 23rd. NCC came out energetic, connected, and passionate from the opening whistle, setting the tone for the match.
NCC took the lead on an own goal, before Tuur Devroey played a ball through the Riverland back line to Silas Stotz, who calmly chipped the goalkeeper to make it 2–0.
Nick Buchner added NCC’s final goal, controlling a pass from Devroey and slipping it past the goalkeeper. The historic shutout capped a complete team performance and a strong response following the season opener.
