Orange City, Iowa (Sioux County Radio) — Two Sheldon men face felony charges after an Orange City Police investigation into a reported theft.
Orange City Police tell us 38-year-old Andrew James Houtsma and 46-year-old Jeffrey Allen Burdette Jr. were taken into custody by their officers.
Police say the investigation began when a business owner reported that two employees were suspected of stealing property belonging to a customer. Officers believe Houtsma and Burdette Jr. took a Rolex watch while working at their place of employment.
Both men were charged with first-degree theft, a class C felony. If convicted, they could each face 10 years in prison.
They were booked into the Sioux County Jail and were each released after posting $10,000 cash or surety bonds.
