Sheldon, Iowa — A recent fire at the Sheldon Tree Dump caused the response of several firefighters from three communities.
Sheldon Public Works Director Todd Uhl has a request of the public.
Uhl says perhaps the public can help the City.
Sheldon firefighters were assisted by the Sanborn and Ashton Fire Departments, who both brought water to the scene. The initial firefighting effort took about four and a half hours.
Uhl made his comments at this week’s Sheldon City Council Meeting.
