Clarence Heidebrink

Mr. Clarence Heidebrink, age 95, of Hull, passed away on Wednesday, December 3, 2014, at the Pleasant Acres Care Center in Hull.

There will be a funeral service on Monday, December 8, at 10:30am, at the First Reformed Church in Hull. The Rev. Kevin Yurk will officiate. There will be a graveside service on Monday at 1:00pm at the Pleasant View Cemetery in Little Rock. Visitation will be the hour before the service on Monday at the church.

Arrangements are with the Oolman Funeral Home in Hull.

Clarence was born on July 10, 1919, at Doon, the son of Henry and Anna (Schroeder) Heidebrink. He was raised on farms in the George and Little Rock area.

On March 12, 1941, he married Jeanette Den Hartog. He then served in the United States Army from 1942 to 1946. He operated a grocery store in Little Rock for seventeen years, after which he was a meat cutter for several businesses. He retired in 1983. They lived in Luverne, Minnesota, for a while, and in later years, they made their home in Hull. Just recently, they moved to Pleasant Acres.

Mr. Heidebrink was a member of the First Reformed Church and the Wegman-Koele American Legion Post in Hull. He enjoyed yard work and feeding birds.

Survivors include his wife of more than 73 years, “Jean”; a brother and his wife, Dale and Marlys Heidebrink, of Abilene, Kansas; a sister-in-law, Emma Crouse; and many nephews and nieces.

Memorials will be directed to the church.
