Florence A. “Molly” Preskitt, age 78, of Sheldon, Iowa passed away on Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at the Prairie View Home in Sanborn, Iowa
Funeral will be 10:30 A.M. Friday, April 5, 2013 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sheldon, Iowa with Rev. Craig Nissen officiating.
Visitation with the family present will be Friday, April 5, 2013 after the service in the Fellowship Hall St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sheldon.

Florence Amalia “Molly” Preskitt, the daughter of Almer Lee and Florence Eva (Schauer) Preskitt was born March 18, 1935 in Brownsville, Texas. Molly moved with her parents to Welch, Oklahoma as a child. She graduated in 1952 from Miami High School in Miami, Oklahoma. After high school she worked as a telephone operator. Molly was married to Wallace Geurink from 1979 to 1982. She moved to Sheldon, Iowa in 1991 to be near her grandchildren. Molly worked as Scanning Coordinator for Hy-Vee and at the Eagle’s Club in Sheldon for many years. Molly retired in December 2012 due to ill health and moved into the Prairie View Home in Sanborn in March of 2013. She passed away there on Tuesday, March 19, 2013 reaching the age of 78 years and 1 day.
She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and the Eagle’s Auxiliary all of Sheldon. She enjoyed reading and riding her bicycle.
Molly is survived by her four children, Sheryll Sauer and her fiancée, Dick Adkins of Baltic, South Dakota; Donald Jr. and his wife, Diana Thomas of Switzerland; Eugene and his wife, Stephanie Geurink of Grand Junction, Colorado; Molly and her husband, Richard Sledge of Ft. Collins, Colorado; grandchildren, Kristi and Justin, Bobbi and Chris, April, Amanda and her friend, Alex Jespersen, Emilie and Zoe, Greg and Raquel, Gene Jr., Kyra and Jonathan; Matthew; Bobbi Jean, Jacob, Jordan, Shannon, Ben and Andy; great grandchildren, Braelyn, CJ, Brady, Brooke, Micah, Brock, Mikayla, Kharia, Jonathan Jr., Zachariah, Joshua, Brice, Elijah and Caleb; two sisters-in-law, Carolea Preskitt of High Ridge, Missouri and Jo Geurink of Alton, Iowa and a nephew, Steven and his wife, Rose Preskitt; and other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a son-in-law, Glen Sauer; and a brother, Leon Preskitt.
