Jason Jackes

Jackes, JasonJason Jackes, 36, of Le Mars, Iowa passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at his parent’s home from natural causes.

Memorial services will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday, May 10, 2014 at the First Reformed Church in Sioux Center, Iowa. Pastor Steven Zwart from Unity Christian Reformed Church in Prinsburg, Minnesota will officiate. Visitation with the family present will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, May 9, 2014 at the Carlsen Funeral Home in Le Mars. Visitation will resume from 12:30 p.m. until service time on Saturday at the church.

Jason William Ryan Jackes was born September 7, 1977 in Sioux City, Iowa, the son of William and Jo Lynn (Anliker) Jackes. He attended school in Le Mars and graduated from Le Mars Community High School in 1996. Following high school, he attended Westmar College in Le Mars and later Huron University in Huron, South Dakota.

In 2000, he and his father established Royal Charters in Le Mars. He and his father developed a reputation as a leader in chartered transportation.

He was united in marriage to the love of his life, Mindi Wynia, on April 26, 2008 in Le Mars. Together, they made their home in Le Mars where they opened their hearts and home to everyone. In 2012, they were blessed with their princess, Madysen Louise. Mady completed this family and found her forever home.

Jason had a deep faith and love of God. He and Mindi were active in YA-TEC, an adult Christian retreat organization. They were also active in Harp and Bowl, a prayer and worship group that meet at First Reformed Church in Sioux Center.

Jason served for over 10 years with the Le Mars Ambulance Service. He also served on the Plymouth Drug Court for several years. During high school, he was a student athletic trainer for several sports. He was also active in Boy Scouts of America in grade school and high school.

Through the years, Jason enjoyed camping and canoeing. He also enjoyed throwing darts and being in dart league. He was an avid fan of the Iowa Hawkeyes and the Dallas Cowboys. But most of all, he loved the times spent with his family and many friends. He will be greatly missed.

Those left to cherish is memory include his wife, Mindi of Le Mars; their daughter, Madysen at home; his parents: Bill and Jodee Jackes of Le Mars; his sisters: Jennica (Ayron) Corporon of Sioux City and their daughter, Eliana, and Jonalee Jackes (fiancé, Jared DeNoble) of Sioux City; his father and mother in law: Louis and Julie Wynia of Steen, MN; his brothers in law: J. Edward (Shelly) Wynia of Brooklyn City, MN, and Tim (Shannon) Wynia of Sauk Rapids, MN, and their children, James, Taylor, Grace, and Faith; his grandfather in law: Louis Wynia of Sioux Center, IA; his foster brother: Spencer Barta of Cozad, NE; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents: Bill and Nina Jackes; his maternal grandparents: Gloria Schwien, Gene Anliker, Gerben DeKok, and Delbert Schwien; and two close friends: Jashua Clark and Scott Kellen.
