Jimmie K. Mitts, age 50, of Sheldon, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, September 29, 2013 at Sanford Senior Care in Sheldon, Iowa.

Private family services will be held at a later date.

Jimmie Kent “Buster” Mitts, the son of Roy Dale Mitts Sr. and Martha Pridemore, was born June 29, 1963 in Macon, Missouri. He grew-up in Missouri and Illinois and received his education and graduated from Centralia High School in Centralia, Illinois. Jimmie worked at Futures Unlimited in Sheldon, Iowa. He moved to Iowa in 2005 on an adventure of a lifetime with his brother. Buster loved Iowa, he felt like he came back home to the Midwest. Buster loved to travel with his brother across the country either in a van or in an 18 wheeler, he just liked to go. He passed away at the Sanford Sheldon Senior Care in Sheldon, Iowa on September 29, 2013, reaching the age of 50 years and 3 months.
Jimmie’s favorite things to do were going shopping and eating out with family and friends. He watched and collected Horror Movies too! Buster’s greatest attribute was his heart, he loved people and animals. Buster would give you the last mouthful of food that he had if you needed it, he didn’t care if he went without in the process. Buster was the true meaning of a “Friend”.
Buster leaves to cherish his memory his, 3 sisters, Mary Ellen (Seabern) Barry of Centralia, ILL; Thelma Pridemore of Kirksville, MO and Karen (Mark) Schreiber of Kansas City, MO; sister-in-law, Kim (Mitts) Perry of Sheldon, IA; a nephew, Dustin and his wife, Dan’elle Perry; and several other nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews all over the United States and in Afghanistan; along with a lot of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Roy Dale Mitts Sr. and his mother, Martha Pridemore; 2 sisters, Faye Davidson and Linnie (Harry) Signor; a brother, Roy Dale “Buddy: Mitts; two great nephews, Kenneth Helm and Nathan Farrell along with all of his grandparents.
