A memorial service for LeaAnn (Ellerbroek) Vande Griend of Fountain Hills, Arizona, who died age 66 on April 20, 2020 in Scottsdale, AZ, will be held on Saturday, October 22, 2022 at the First Reformed Church in Sheldon, IA. Family visitation will be at the church from 1:30-2 p.m. with the memorial service at 2 p.m. After the service, interment will be at the Greenwood Cemetery in Matlock, Iowa.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be directed to World Vision International or LIFE 96.5 Radio in Sioux Falls.
LeaAnn is survived by her daughter Georgia (Vande Griend) McAlister, son-in-law William McAlister, granddaughter Sophia and step-granddaughter Trudy of China Grove, NC. Her siblings are Cheryl (Edward) Miller of Cedar Rapids, IA, Carla (Jim) Boyle of El Cajon, CA, Craig (Carol) Ellerbroek of Gladstone, IL, Kent (Barb) Ellerbroek of Brandon, SD, Mark (Dianna) Ellerbroek of Babbitt, MN, and Janet (Steve) Tatman of Sioux Falls, SD. She is also survived by a brother-in-law and sisters-in-laws, nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Cedric and Darlene Ellerbroek of Sheldon, IA. Her former husband Edward Vande Griend of Canton, SD, died age 88 on September 30, 2022.
