Mrs. Lucia Vander Ploeg, age 98, of Hospers, passed away on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at Whispering Heights in Rock Valley.
A visitation with the family present will be held on Tuesday, September 29, from 9:30am to 10:30am, at the Trinity Reformed Church Hospers Campus. There will be a memorial service on Tuesday, at 11:00am, at the church with the Rev. Michael Farenbruch officiating. Following a time of lunch and fellowship, interment will take place at the Hospers Cemetery in Hospers. The Oolman Funeral Home in Hospers is in charge of arrangements.
Memorials will be given to Gideons International.
