Margaret Moret

Margaret MoretMargaret Moret, age 95, of Boyden, Iowa passed away on Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at the Sanford Sheldon Senior Care in Sheldon, Iowa.  The funeral service will be Monday, September 14, 2015 at 10:30am at the First Reformed Church in Boyden, Iowa with Rev. David Poppen ~ Officiating.

Burial will be in the Sheridan Township Cemetery in Boyden, Iowa,

Visitation with the family present will be Sunday, September 13, 2015 from 2:00 ~ 4:00pm at the Vander Ploeg Funeral Home in Boyden.

Arrangements are under the care of the Vander Ploeg Funeral Home in Boyden, Iowa.

Margaret Winifred Moret, the daughter of Gerrit and Nelsena (Boerhave) Uittenbogaard was born on February 8, 1920 in Archer, Iowa. She received her education at a country school. On February 24, 1944 Margaret was united in marriage to Marion L. Moret on the family farm near Boyden. After their marriage they moved onto the Moret family farm living in the tenant house. Later they moved to the main house where their four children were raised. Margaret was a hard worker on the farm; she milked cows, loaded and unloaded grain. Marion preceded her in death on September 1, 1973. Margaret moved into Boyden in June of 1979 and remained there till she moved to the Christian Retirement Home in Sheldon in February of 2005. In June of 2013 Margaret moved to Sanford Senior Care in Sheldon where she passed on Wednesday, September 9, 2015 reaching the age of 95 years, 7 months and a day.

Margaret was a member of the First Reformed Church in Boyden; where she was a member of the Guild and Bible Study. She enjoyed bowling, golfing, card club, quilting, going on bus trips and gardening. She loved to have fun and was known for her laugh.

Left to cherish Margaret’s memory is her children and their spouses, Lyle and Gayle Moret of Littleton, Colorado, Linda and Dan Nechrony of Centennial, Colorado, Mary and Duane Van Es and Paul and Leila Moret both of Boyden, Iowa; eight grandchildren, Mitchell (Marlo) Moret, Kirk (Valerie) Moret, Maggie (David) Salas, DJ Nechrony (Courtney Wagner), Max Nechrony, Jill (Peter DeGroot), Doug (Kari) Van Es, and Mark (Crystal) Moret; thirteen great grandchildren; brother, Willis and Mina Uittenbogaard; sister-in-law, Henrietta Uittenbogaard; also other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Marion; parents; granddaughter, Amanda in infancy and two brothers, Art and Ed Uittenbogaard.
