Marlys (Seivert) Gramlow-Britton

Marlys (Seivert) Gramlow-Britton, age 78, of Remsen, Iowa, died Thursday, June 13, 2019 at Happy Siesta Health Care Center in Remsen, Iowa. 

Funeral Services will be 1 p.m. Monday, June 17, 2019 at Fisch Funeral Home and Monument in Remsen, IA with Pastor Garret Kasper officiating. Burial will follow at the Roseland Cemetery in Sanborn, IA. Visitation with family present will be from 5-6p.m. on Sunday at Fisch Funeral Home and Monument. Marlys was born October 2, 1940
, in Sheldon, IA, the daughter of Bernard and Mabel (Feenstra) Seivert.  Marlys was raised in Sanborn where she received her education, graduating from Sanborn High School in 1958.

On September 15, 1959, she married Orville Gramlow in Sioux Falls, SD. The couple lived in Remsen where they raised their two children. Orville passed away July 21,1992.  

On November 20, 2000 Marlys was married to Phillip Britton. To this union Marlys gained a step son and step daughter.

Over the years Marlys worked at Happy Siesta Nursing Home, Remsen Liquor Store and Wells Blue Bunny. She enjoyed gardening, camping, cooking and traveling. 

Survivors include her husband, Phillip of Remsen, Son Kevin (Donna) Gramlow of Remsen, IA, Daughter, Kim (Chris) Pierce of Largo, FL. Step-son Bradley (Angi) Britton of Akron, IA, and a step-drughter, Jennifer (Dennis) Hart of Akron, IA. 7 grandchildren, Shonden, Branden, Brent and Brice, Kaylee, Caden and Cody; 5 step-grandchildren, Parker, Julia, Aidan, Quinton and Ellie; 5 great-grandchildren, Ashton, Brooklyn, Peyton, Jaiden and Dawsen. Brothers, Earl (Carol) Seivert of Sanborn, IA, Mitch (Madeleine) Seivert of Spencer, IA. One sister-in-law, Marlene Seivert of Sibley, IA.

She was preceded in death by her husband Orville, parents, Bernard and Mabel, Brothers, Fritz and Dennis Seivert. 

Casket Bearers will be Shonden Frederes, Brice Gramlow, Nick Wurth, Caden Pierce, Brent Gramlow and Corey Seivert
