Ryan Childs, age 53, of Sibley, passed away suddenly September 4, 2021 in Luverne, Minnesota.
A funeral mass will be celebrated at the Immaculate Conception Parish, Newburyport, MA on Saturday, September 18, 2021, at 10:30 am.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent in Ryan’s memory to Riley Emma Childs College Fund c/o Northwestern Mutual (payable to MFS Service Center), 345 9th St Ste B, Sibley IA, 51249.
He is survived by his loving parents, Les and Leslie Childs (Amesbury, MA); beloved brother and sister-in-law Brendan and Betsy Childs and nephews Grady and Mason (Newburyport, MA).He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Most importantly, he is survived by his beloved daughter, Riley Emma Childs (Sibley, IA). She was his pride and joy and the center of his world. Riley is most likely the only New England Patriots fan in the Midwest.
Ryan graduated from Newburyport High School, Class of 1987, Northern Essex Community College Nursing Program, and was an Air Force Veteran. Ryan was a registered nurse and worked as a traveling ER nurse.
