Sharon (Kruse) Seivert was born on March 30, 1962, to Martin and Marian (Eberline) Kruse. She grew up in George, Iowa, where she attended school. A tomboy at heart from an early age, Sharon developed a love for motorcycles and adventure that would remain with her throughout her life.  In 1981, Sharon welcomed her son, Josh, into the world. She later married Kevin Seivert, and together they made their home in Ashton, Iowa, where they raised Josh.  In 2002, Sharon moved to Arizona, a place that would always hold a special place in her heart. She loved the desert, the sunshine, and the freedom of life in the Southwest. She spent many years there before eventually returning to northwest Iowa to be closer to her parents, Martin and Marian, as they grew older, and to be near Josh and his wife, Bliss, as they began raising their family.  Over the years, Sharon’s adventurous spirit took her between Iowa and Arizona several times. She later moved to Ohio to be near Josh and his family while they lived in Troy. After Josh and his family relocated to the Sioux City area in the summer of 2023, Sharon followed, making her home in South Sioux City, Nebraska, that fall, where she remained until her passing.  Sharon lived life with a free spirit and a generous heart. She had a lifelong love of Harley-Davidson motorcycles, riding her 1982 Ironhead for many years before finding her beloved 2009 Softail Deuce, which became her pride and joy. Riding was more than a hobby for Sharon; it was part of who she was. She loved the freedom of the open road and the simple joy of being on two wheels.  Those who knew Sharon knew her as kind, funny, and always willing to help someone in need. She had a big heart and tried to lend a hand whenever she could. She was liked by many and made lasting friendships throughout the different places she called home.  Above all, Sharon loved her family and treasured being a mother and grandmother. She especially cherished her three grandsons, Colten, Alex, and Logan, and the time she was able to spend watching them grow.  Sharon will be remembered for her carefree and adventurous spirit, her sense of humor, her love of motorcycles, her compassion for others, and the kindness she shared so freely with those around her.

She is survived by her son Joshua and his wife, Bliss Kruse of Indianapolis, IN; grandsons, Colten, Alex and Logan; her siblings, Ginger Van Roekel of Sioux Center, IA; Audrey Zoet of Britt, IA; Jim (Cleone) Kruse of George, IA; Mark Kruse of George, IA; Mary Kruse of George, IA; Martha Kruse of Mason, TX; and Paul (Cindy) Kruse of Sioux Falls, SD; along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Martin and Marian; sisters, Janice Kruse and Margret Klein and nephews, Michael Koele, Matthew Kruse and Chris Koele.
