Morningside faces a quarterfinal round rematch when the top ranked Mustangs host Saint Xavier of Illinois in the NAIA playoffs.
A year ago the Mustangs beat the Cougars 52-7 in the quarterfinal round.
That’s Morningside coach Steve Ryan, who says Saint Xavier used turnovers and special teams to beat second ranked Marian in last week’s opening round.
Ryan says a good start is critical in the playoffs and the Mustangs hope to do that against the Cougars
Kick off is at 12:00 pm at Elwood Olsen Stadium.
