Northern Iowa coach Mark Farley hopes experience is an advantage as the Panthers get set for the postseason.
They host Lamar on Saturday in the opening round of the FCS playoffs.
For the Panther seniors this is their third appearance in the playoffs.
A young defense was a concern at the start of the season but Farley says that unit made big strides.
Farley says the Panthers are looking forward to the challenge.
