KANSAS CITY, Mo. – William Penn (Iowa) became the top team in the nation in the latest edition of the Top 25. The Statesmen received 14 first-place votes to rise from the No. 2 slot. Talladega (Ala.) and previous No. 1, Loyola (La.) both received three first-place votes apiece and landed in the Nos. 2 and 3 spots respectively with just one loss each. Oklahoma Wesleyan rose one spot to No. 4 while Indiana Wesleyan continued its steady climb to No. 5 this week. Southeastern (Fla.) made the largest improvement this week, up six spots to No. 18, while the poll included five newcomers this week in Olivet Nazarene (Ill.), Montana Tech, Faulkner (Ala.), Bethel (Kan.) and Briar Cliff (Iowa).
