KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Jamestown (N.D.) at No. 1 in the fifth regular-season edition of the 2021 NAIA Women’s Volleyball Coaches’ Top 25 Poll.
Dordt has a 15-7 overall record and posted a 3-2 record since the last poll was released on October 12. The Defenders went on the road this past weekend and beat Doane and Hastings to improve to 7-6 in the league with three matches remaining. Dordt took 266 votes in the polling and are 26 points behind Dakota Wesleyan at no. 15 and is seven points in front of Montana Tech in 17th.
Northwestern enters this poll on a four-game winning streak, winning three of those matches in straight sets. Two of those sweeps came over teams ranked or receiving votes. Downing then-No. 23-ranked Doane on October 22, followed up with a sweep of (RV) Hastings the following day. Picking up wins also over Briar Cliff (3-1) and Mount Marty (3-0). The only loss in the two-week span was to No. 11, now No. 9, College of Saint Mary in five sets.
