A Dordt Defender earns GPAC Football Player-of-the-Week honors

Sioux City, Iowa – A Dordt University Athlete has been named a Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Football Player-of-the-Week as announced by the GPAC Monday, Oct. 7th.

Dordt wide receiver Kaden Harken is this week’s GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Offensive Player-of-the-Week. Harken, a sophomore from Spokane, Washington, piled up the yards on offense for the Defenders. He had 10 catches for 217 receiving yards, the most for a Defender since 2016 and the fourth most in program history.

He is averaging over 17 yards per catch on the year. The Defenders travel to Mount Marty for a Friday night contest on October 11. Kick off will be at 7 pm.
