The PGA Tour’s John Deere Classic has a new leader as next month’s tournament gets set to tee off near the Quad Cities.
Andrew Lehman is in his first year after replacing long-time tournament director Clair Peterson but the Carroll native is no stranger to the event.
As the smallest market to host a PGA Tour event Lehman says it takes a lot of work and community involvement to make it work.
The involvement of John Deere has been critical. Earlier this month the company announced a three year extension as title sponsor through 2026.
The John Deere Classic is July sixth through the ninth.
