Sioux Center Iowa — Achan Alwal, a senior at Worthington High School (Minnesota), has announced her intention to attend Dordt College and join the Defender soccer and basketball programs.
Alwal averaged 10.4 points, 7.7 rebounds and 2.0 blocks per game in basketball and also totaled 55 steals. She had five goals and seven assists in soccer. Alwal was named soccer offensive mvp for Worthington. She was an all-conference pick in basketball and was a conference champion in track and field.
Achan is the daughter of Abella Omot and Opothy Omot of Worthington, Minnesota. She plans to study Criminal Justice at Dordt College.
