The Big-12 Conference is moving ahead with plans for a fall football season.
The announcement comes a day after the Big Ten and PAC-12 announced they were cancelling their seasons. Football players will be tested three times per week and Big-12 Commissioner Bob Bowlsby is confident the season will be able to kick off.
Bowlsby says those practices have been in place during summer workouts.
Bowlsby says the decision to proceed with a season was made after consulting with medical experts.
Bowlsby says he has been on constant contact with SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey and ACC Commissioner John Swofford. Those leagues also plan to moved ahead with football.
Bowlsby says it may be some time before there is a decision about a college football playoff.
Bowlsby says they are hoping to clarify eligibility questions for the players.
