Boardman To Run For Defenders

Sioux Center, Iowa — Abigail Boardman, a senior at South O’Brien High School (Iowa), has announced her intention to attend Dordt and join the Defender track and cross country programs.

“I am excited to welcome Abigail to our program. She is an efficient runner that will excel at the collegiate level. She is a great fit for our program and for Dordt University. I look forward to working with her the next four years,” said Dordt cross country coach Nate Wolf.

Boardman has personal bests of 21:02 on a 5,000 meter cross country course and qualified for the state meet all four of her seasons. Boardman also has personal bests of 12:03 in the 3000 meters and 6:08 in the 1500.

“I like the school a lot and I think I will get a good education from Dordt,” said Boardman. “After running with the team I felt very welcomed by this particular team.”

Abigail is the daughter of Rachel and Eric Boardman of Sutherland, Iowa. She’s undecided on her field of study.
