Northwest Iowa — The regular season comes to a close for area high school football teams Friday night with playoff spots or playoff seeding on the line. Sheldon wraps up the season at Cherokee. The Orabs are 4-4 on the year and 2-4 in the district. Cherokee comes in at 3-3 in the district and 3-5 for the season.
Sheldon Head Coach Tyler Lloyd feels Cherokee does a good job of utilizing both formations and talent.

The battle for the Class 2A district 1 title will take place in Rock Rapids with the Lions hosting Boyden Hull Rock Valley. Both teams are unbeaten in the district at 6-0 and both are 7-1 on the season and have a playoff spot locked down.
Nighthawks Head Coach Cory Brandt feels the Lions are more diverse than they’ve ever been on both sides of the ball.
Brandt feels it will take of solid all round game for Boyden Hull Rock Valley to post the win.
Central Lyon George Little Rock Head Coach Toby Lorenzen talks about the Nighthawks dynamic offense.
