Quinn Byker, a graduate of Sioux Center High School, has announced his intention to attend Dordt College and join the Defender baseball program.
Byker earned all-Siouxland Conference First-Team honors this season while also earning second-team all-district accolades. He batted .417 for the Warriors with 35 hits, eight doubles, two homeruns and knocked in 23 runs.
Quinn is the son of Arlin and Laura Byker of Sioux Center, Iowa. He plans to study Animal Science at Dordt College.
Tuesday marks day two of the Boys State Golf Tournaments in Ames. Boys Tournament Soccer is also on the Monday schedule.
