Cody Moser GPAC Defensive Player Of The Week

(Sioux City, Iowa) – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following football players-of-the-week for games played the week of October 2-8, 2023. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2023-24 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program.

Defense – Cody Moser, Defensive Back (Northwestern College)
Defensive back Cody Moser of Northwestern College is this week’s GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Defensive Player-of-the-Week. Moser, a junior, from Rock Valley, Iowa, had a stellar outing in the Red Raider secondary against Hastings on Homecoming weekend. He recorded his first multi-interception game of his career (2) with an 85-yard pick-six right before the half. The 85-yard return is the fifth-longest return in program history and his 89 return yards on both picks is sixth-most in a game in program history. He’s now recorded an interception in three-straight games and leads the GPAC with five.

Offense – Cash Parker, Quarterback (Morningside University)
Morningside University quarterback Cash Parker is this week’s GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Offensive Player-of-the-Week. Parker, a freshman from Blue Springs, Missouri, led the Mustangs’ offense in this week’s contest, completing 20 of 27 attempted passes for better than 287 yards and four touchdowns. He had no interceptions, achieving a quarterback efficiency rating of 211.3.

Special Teams – Bryson Wilke, Kicker (Morningside University)
Bryson Wilke of Morningside University is this week’s GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Special Teams Player-of-the-Week. Wilke, a freshman from Suprise, Arizona, was perfect in this week’s contest, connecting for eight extra points and two field goals. Wilke’s long on the day was a 40-yard field goal as he put 14 points on the board for the Mustangs.
