Cyclones Add Wide Receiver Isaiah Alston

Ames, Iowa – The Iowa State football program has added transfer wide receiver Isaiah Alston to its roster starting this spring. Alston spent the previous four seasons playing for Army West Point and still has two years of eligibility remaining.

The redshirt junior from Carteret, New Jersey, played in just four games in 2023 before an injury cut short his season. He averaged 29.6 yards per reception. In 2021 and 2022, Alston finished with a total of 38 receptions for 718 yards and four touchdowns while playing in the Black Knights’ run-first offense.

He had 22 receptions in 2021, one of just four Army pass catchers since 2010 to eclipse 20 receptions in a single season.

In total, Alston played in 27 career games, finishing with 49 receptions for 1,031 yards and six touchdowns.

He adds another weapon for the Cyclone offense, which returns its top four pass catchers from the 2023 season.
