Orange City, Iowa — Jazlin De Haan (Orange City, Iowa) has signed a letter of intent to continue her collegiate volleyball career at Northwestern College.
De Haan recently completed her freshman season at Wayne State University (Neb.). She played in all 30 of the Wildcats matches and tallied 266 kills with a .964 serving percentage. De Haan had a standout high school career at MOC-Floyd Valley, ending with 1,421 kills, 1,063 digs and second and third team All-State honors.
“Jazlin is a dynamic attacker that has the ability to score points in multiple locations along the net,” stated head coach Kyle Van Den Bosch. “She had a great freshman season at Wayne State playing in the rugged Northern Sun Conference. She is someone we have wanted in our program for quite a while so we are very excited to welcome her to our team and campus community!”
De Haan plans to study Physical Education at Northwestern. She was an Honor Roll student at MOC-Floyd Valley and continued that at Wayne State. De Haan is the daughter of Craig and Sandra.
When asked what drew her to Northwestern De Haan stated, “I wanted to be closer to home and grow in my faith.”
