Gulker Commits To Dordt Basketball

Sioux Center, Iowa — Wyatt Gulker, a senior at Western Christian High School (Iowa), has announced his intention to attend Dordt and join the Defender basketball program.

“We are happy to have Wyatt join our program. He fits Dordt well and will bring excellent athleticism and the ability to score to our program,” said Dordt basketball coach Brian Van Haaften.

Gulker averaged 13 points, three rebounds, three assists and 2.5 steals per game for the Wolfpack. He earned all-Lakes Conference honors twice and was named to the 2021 Iowa High School All-State Tournament team as Western claimed a state title.

“I chose to commit to Dordt because of the great community, Christ-centered academics and also the incredible coaching staff and it’s close to home,” said Gulker.

Wyatt is the son of Brian and Melissa Gulker of Sioux Center, Iowa. He plans to study business at Dordt.
