Sioux City, Iowa – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following women’s outdoor track & field athletes-of-the-week for events held March 18-24, 2019. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2018-2018 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program.
Field Events – Cori De Jong, Dordt College
Cori De Jong of Dordt is this week’s field athlete-of-the-week. De Jong, a freshman from Sheldon, Iowa, competed against a field made up of mostly NCAA Division I and II athletes at the Wayne State Wildcat Classic. She was second in the high jump at the meet clearing 1.57m. That mark puts her at the top of the GPAC leaderboard.
