The fifth 2021 NAIA Men’s Indoor Track & Field National TFRI (Track & Field Rating Index) has been released by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCA). The Dordt men’s team is 2nd in the rating for the third week in a row, and Northwestern is in the rankings at #23
The Defenders held on to their spot after winning the Great Plains Athletic Conference Championship for the first time in program history this weekend.
Dordt will send athletes to the NAIA National Championship with men’s play beginning on Thursday, March 4 in Yankton, South Dakota.
Northwestern’s squad is 23rd in the second to last poll of the 2021 indoor season, down 11 spots from the Feb. 17 edition. They accumulated a score of 64.89 and are one of seven teams from the GPAC in the top 25.
Northwestern will send six athletes to compete at next week’s indoor national championship held in Yankton, S.D.
