Dordt will travel to Orange City to face Northwestern tonight with a 5:00 start for game one followed by the second game of the doubleheader at about 7:30. These games were originally scheduled for Friday night but have been moved to tonight in anticipation of poor weather over the next several days.
Northwestern is 13-19 this season and 7-9 in the league.
Sutton Derr is batting .424 this season with 14 this and seven runs batted in. Austin Zylstra is batting .382 and Ben De Boer bats .371. Zylstra has 39 hits and 28 runs batted in while De Boer has scored a team high 33 runs. Drew Schutt is batting .343 with a team high six homeruns and 32 runs batted in.
Brady Roberts is 4-2 on the mound with a 3.80 earned run average and he has a team high 27 strikeouts through 47 innings. Alec Rickabaugh is 3-3 with 17 strikeouts in 42 innings while Mason O’Donnell has a pair of wins in relief.
Dordt is 5-16 this season and 2-14 in the GPAC.
Logan Cline leads the team with a .393 batting average and has a team high 33 hits with five doubles, three triples and 20 runs batted in. Dillon Branderhorst has 16 hits with a .267 batting average and has 12 runs batted in with four doubles. Cam Pfafman and Jason Holwerda each have 14 hits this season and David Laurenti has nine runs batted in.
Isaac Vander Hart has pitched 27 innings and has a 2-2 record in six starts with a 4.55 earned run average and has 21 strikeouts. Cole Vande Vegte has 15 strikeouts in 12 innings and Luke Drooger is 2-3 with 21 strikeouts while Isaac Buteyn leads the team with 28 strikeouts.
