Dordt Football At Home To Conclude Regular Season

Sioux Center, Iowa — Dordt will host Midland on Saturday, November 16 with kickoff at 1:00.

Midland is 6-4 this season and 5-3 in the GPAC and the Warriors have won five games in a row after absorbing four losses in a row. The Warriors lost to Northwestern on September 14 on a last second field goals 26-25 and lost to Morningside the following week 51-29.  Midland dropped a 47-44 decision to Missouri Baptist in a non-conference game on September 28 and Briar Cliff beat the Warrriors in Fremont on October 5 by a 13-7 count.  Since then the Warriors have wins over Hastings, Dakota Wesleyan, Jamestown, Concordia and Doane.  The closest game in that winning streak was a 27-7 victory over Concordia on November 2.

Midland rushes for 207 yards per game and passes for 220 and has a total offensive output per game of 427.   The Warrior are scoring 36 points per game and allow 23. The defense surrenders 105 yards per game on the ground and 228 in the air.

Dordt is 7-3 this season with a 34-21 loss to Keiser (Florida) to open the season and a 30-9 win over Waldorf the following week. Dordt also faced defending NAIA National Champion Morningside and lost a 56-14 decision to the Mustangs before going on the road to Jamestown and earning a 41-6 win.  Dordt made it two wins in a row on September 28 with a 57-22 home win against Dakota Wesleyan.  After a bye week the Defenders were tripped up by Northwestern on October 12, 35-6.  The Defenders got back to their winning ways with a 61-0 win over Doane two weeks ago and followed that with a 35-0 win over Concordia on October 26.  The Defenders have added wins over Hastings and Briar Cliff in recent weeks to forge the 6-2 GPAC record.

The Defenders have run for 346 yards per game and passed for 132 yards per outing.  Teams have gained 173 yards on the ground per game against Dordt and have passed for 159.
