Dordt Volleyball Falls To Concordia

The Dordt Defenders lost a 3-0 decision to Concordia on Friday night in Sioux Center, Iowa.

The Bulldogs started the match with a 10-4 lead and maintained an eight point lead at 21-13. Dordt did rally to within four with a 22-18 deficit after an attack error. A Concordia kill stopped the Dordt threat and the Bulldogs were 25-20 winners in set one.

Set two had Concordia score six of the first seven points and Dordt was unable to recover and fell 25-17. Set three was the most competitive with Dordt holding a 10-7 lead after three ties. Concordia tied it at 11-11 and the teams battled back and forth with Dordt leading for the final time at 15-14 after an attack error. The score was tied again at 17-17 but back to back points gave Concordia a lead it never relinquished in winning 25-21.

Dordt will travel to Northwestern on Monday, October 5.
