Sioux Center Iowa — The Dordt College Defender volleyball team has received their pool assignment for the NAIA National Volleyball Championship. Dordt will start play on Tuesday, November 29th at the Tyson Event Center in Sioux City. The Defenders will be in Pool H. The other pool members are Grand View (Iowa), St. Francis (lllinois) and Madonna (Michigan).
Dordt opens tournament play against St. Francis (Illinois) on Tuesday night at 5:00. The Defenders will face Madonna on Wednesday at 5:00 and conclude pool play against no. 8 seed Grand View on Thursday at 7:00.
Dordt is the overall no. 9 seed in the 32-team field. The top-two teams in each of the eight pools advance to the elimination bracket scheduled to open play on Friday, December 2.
