Dordt will host Mount Marty in GPAC women’s basketball on Saturday, January 9 at 2:00 pm.
Mount Marty is 3-11 this season and 1-10 in the GPAC with a 62-53 conference win over the College of Saint Mary. The Lancers started the season with back to back wins over Waldorf and Presentation. The Flames also lost a one-point decision to Doane on December 16.
Mount Marty has been outscored 75.4-60.0 and are getting outrebounded 43-5-34.0. Teams are converting 43.3 percent of its field goal attempts and the Lancers make 35.7 percent of their shots.
Dordt is 9-6 this season and 8-4 in the GPAC and has won four in a row and seven of the last eight contests.
Dordt is outscoring teams 71.7-67.8 and outrebound teams 44.7-34.1. Dordt converts 39.7 percent of its field goals while allowing teams to make 39.2 percent. Dordt also has made 33.5 percent of its three-point shots while opponents have made 33.4 percent.
Ashtyn Veerbeek is scoring 14.4 points per game while grabbing 9.8 rebounds per contest and she is making 46 percent of her field goal attempts and she is averaging 2.4 assists. Erika Feenstra is good for 13.1 points per game and Bailey Beckman adds 12.5 points per game with Feenstra taking away 5.6 rebounds and Beckman has handed out 2.8 assists per game and she leads the team with 20 steals. Karly Gustafson adds 9.5 points per game and she makes 52 percent of her field goals and she takes in 6.3 rebounds. Mya Chmielewski and Bailey Tetzlaff add 5.9 and 5.5 points per game respectively. Tetzlaff has 17 steals and Jordyn Winterfeld has 15.
