Dordt’s Clayburg Earns GPAC Football Honor

(Sioux City, Iowa) – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following football players-of-the-week for games played on Saturday, September 28, 2019.  Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2019-2020 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program.

Hauff Mid-America Sports/ Football Players-of-the-Week

Offense – Noah Clayburg , Quarterback (Dordt University)
Dordt quarterback Noah Clayburg is this week’s GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Offensive Player-of-the-Week. Clayburg, a sophomore from Pella, Iowa, ran for 222 yards and passed for 134 in a 57-22 win over Dakota Wesleyan. He had a pair of touchdown passes and ran for another in his first game back since an injury in the first half of Dordt’s opening week game. Clayburg did not take a snap in the fourth quarter. The Defenders have the week off before hosting the Red Raiders of Northwestern on October 12.  Kick off will be at 1 pm.
