Dordt’s Wolf Named Regional Coach Of The Year

Sioux Center, Iowa — Regional Athletes and Coaches of the Year for the 2020 NAIA Cross Country season were announced Monday, April 5, by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association. Dordt’s Nate Wolf was named the Midwest Region Men’s Coach of the Year.

Wolf is in his sixth season at Dordt and led the Defenders to the GPAC team title in the fall and has the Defenders rated in the top-10 of the nation ahead of the NAIA National Championship Meet held on Friday, April 9 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Wolf guided the Defenders to wins at the Dordt Sunflower Opener and the GPAC Championship and runner-up finishes at the Mount Marty, Briar Cliff and Morningside Invitationals. He was also named the conference’s coach of the year his work with both the Dordt women and men and he guided the women to a GPAC title this fall as well.

This is Wolf’s second honor from the USTFCCCA this spring as he also claimed the Men’s Indoor Track & Field National Assistant Coach of the Year award for 2021.
