Emma Haley Breaks 10 Year Old Northwestern Record

ORANGE CITY, Iowa – The Northwestern Red Raiders put together some impressive performances at their home meet this past Friday and Saturday. In the 3000m Steeplechase, Emma Haley would run a PR and obliterate the school record in the event. The previous mark set in 2014, also at the Red Raider home meet, of 12:00.64 would fall to Haley’s 11:45.64. The MOC Floyd Valley alum would beat her own previous PR of 12:12 by nearly 30 seconds.

Having to move inside, the high jump would see Jacie Vander Waal, a former Sioux Center Warrior hit the NAIA Provisional Mark, jumping 1.65m or 5’5″. The final event of the day would have the 4x400m relay also hit the NAIA provisional mark with a time of 3:55.07. That squad would be made up of Emma Blum, Savonne Sterk, Caitlin Ostbye, and Kennedy Kramer from West Lyon.
