Jose Flores, of Sibley, has signed a letter of intent to continue his wrestling career at Northwestern College this fall.
Flores recently completed an outstanding four-year career wrestling for Sibley-Ocheyedan High School. Flores posted an impressive 44-5 record his senior year, winning the Siouxland Conference championship at 106-pounds for the second straight year. He also won the sectional championship and finished second at districts. For his career, Flores went 119-44 with 67 pins and was a two-time state qualifier (Jr. and Sr. years). An honor roll student, Flores is the son of Eneida Reutiga and Kiles Rosas.
“Jose is a guy we have been working with for the past several years in our Zapas program,” commented Northwestern head coach Rik Dahl. “It has been awesome seeing his progress throughout the years and we look forward to seeing so much more growth. Jose comes from a winning program and he had an outstanding high school career. We believe he will do great things here at Northwestern.”
