Northwest Iowa — Week two of the of the high school football season brings another round of non district play. Our broadcast match ups feature South O’Brien at Sheldon and Boyden Hull Rock Valley and Western Christian getting together at Hesla Field in Hull.
South O’Brien is coming off a season opening win against Graettinger Terril Ruthven Ayrshire while the Orabs opened the season with a home win over Sibley Ocheyedan.
Orab Head Coach Tyler Lloyd is impressed with the Wolverines aggressive old school identity.
Going against a time of possession offense Lloyd feels turnover margin is especially important.
Defending against the pass and the ability to run the football are primary concerns for the Wolverines.

It’s a battle of unbeaten state ranked teams at Hesla Field in Hull. Western Christian ranked number 10 in the latest Radio Iowa Poll plays host Boyden Hull Rock Valley. Western is coming off a win at MOC Floyd Valley last Friday. The Nighthawks take over the top spot in the 2A poll following a season opening win at home over West Sioux.
