Former Hawkeye Anthony Nelson Does Not Mind Competition

Tampa, Florida — Former Iowa standout Anthony Nelson says he does not mind competition as he prepares for his third season with the Super Bowl champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The Waukee native appeared in 16 games last season as an edge rusher and was watching in April when the Bucs used their first round draft pick to select edge rusher Joe Tryon out of Washington.

After limited off-season work in 2020 due to the pandemic Nelson is pleased with the chance to get in a lot of work heading into training camp.

Nelson says he is using the time to become a better pass rusher.
