Francis is a 6’2″ guard who lettered two years for the Boyden-Hull Comets. As a senior, Francis averaged 7 points, 4 rebound and 3 assists for one the best 2A teams in Iowa. The Comets finished with a 24-3 record and a second-place finish at the Iowa State Tournament. Francis earned a spot on the third-team all-conference roster as a senior. He also excels in the classroom, as he is a part of the National Honor Society. He plans to major in accounting at Northwestern College. Francis is the son of Bill and the late Sondra Francis.

“Carter is a high IQ basketball player with a strong work ethic and love for the game!” commented Northwestern head coach Kris Korver. “He has been coached well and comes from a winning program. We are excited to have Carter joining us and we look forward to seeing him grow and mature as a young man, student, player and teammate.”
