football 3Northwest Iowa — With the regular season at the midway point Sheldon welcomes Central Lyon George Little Rock  to town for Orab homecoming. The Orabs suffered their first loss of the season at Rock Valley last Friday while the Lions posted a road win at Estherville. Central Lyon George Little Rock is off to a 2-0 district start while the Orabs are 1-1. Both teams are 3-1 on the season.

The big key for the Orabs is to be fundamentally sound.

That’s Orab Head Coach Tyler Lloyd. With all that surrounds homecoming week the prime objective is to have fun.

Central Lyon George Little Rock head coach Toby Lorenzen sees the Orabs as a solid football team.

The biggest key for the Lions will be keeping Orab big plays to a minimum.

 

Kory Roos joins LA for the broadcast on KIWA AM 1550.

 

Boyden Hull Rock Valley takes a 2-0 district record to Pocahontas Area. The Indians are looking for their first win of the season following a home loss to MOC Floyd Valley . The Nighthawks are off to a 3-1 start to the year after the homecoming win over Sheldon.

Nighthawks Head Coach Corey Brandt says his team is focused on getting better with each game.

Brandt also talked about playing a team that’s looking for their first win.

Pocahontas Area Co-Head Coach Michael Ehn doesn’t see a weakness in the Nighthawks

The Indians are ready for the challenge and will go as hard as they can as long as they can Friday night.
