Friday Football Broadcast Preview – September 18th, 2026

Northwest Iowa — It’s Week Four of the high school football schedule, which begins district battles in all classes.

Our broadcast coverage features two homecoming matchups: Sheldon hosting Western Christian on KIWA AM 1550 and 100.7 FM, as well as Boyden-Hull/Rock Valley hosting Central Lyon/George-Little Rock on KIWA FM 105.3.

Pregame for both contests begins at 6:30 p.m. with kickoff at 7. Both games will be streamed at kiwaradio.com.


Western Christian vs. Sheldon

Western Christian picked up a win at Spencer last week and comes in at 1-2. Sheldon fell to Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn on the road and are 0-3.

Orab Head Coach Andy Cooper’s scouting report for Western Christian begins with their quarterback.

Cooper feels focus will be extremely important Friday night.

Central Lyon/George-Little Rock vs. Boyden-Hull Rock Valley

The Nighthawks celebrate the first of two homecoming games hosting Central Lyon/George-Little Rock at Rock Valley. The Nighthawks are 1-2 with the Lions coming to town at 3-0 and ranked No. 8 in the latest Radio Iowa Poll.

Boyden-Hull/Rock Valley Nighthawks Head Coach Jayme Rozeboom says the key to the district opener and the rest of the season is playing good assignment football.

Not all coaches enjoy homecoming because of the distractions it presents, but Rozeboom says he’s a big fan.
