Sioux City, Iowa – Honors for the 2026 Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Outdoor Track and Field Season have been announced.
The top Track and Field Performances-of-the-Meet and the Coaching Staff-of-the-Year honors were voted on by the league coaches. GPAC Athlete-of-the-Year honors went to the highest individual point scorers in the meet.
The Outstanding Performances-of-the-Meet were voted on by the league coaches and are as follows:
Women’s Track Performance –Adrianna Rodencal, Concordia – 400 Hurdles – 58.36 – GPAC Record
Women’s Field Performance – Imani Skanes, College of Saint Mary – Long Jump – 18-11.75
Men’s Track Performance – Logan Ferrari, Mount Marty – 10K – 30:35.14 – GPAC Record
Men’s Field Performance – Braden Kavelage, Northwestern – Long Jump – 25-02.75
Adrianna Rodencal from Concordia and Braden Kavelage from Northwestern were named the Hauff Mid-America Sports GPAC Outdoor Track and Field Outstanding Athletes-of-the-Year. Rodencal scored 24.5 points in the meet for the Bulldogs, while Kavelage scored 30.5 points for the Red Raiders.
Ed Fye from Doane, representing the Tigers coaching staff and program, has been named the Jim McMahon/Hauff Mid-America Sports GPAC Women’s Outdoor Track and Field Staff-of-the-Year after leading Doane to the women’s team title (250.5 points). Ed Fye from Doane, representing the Tigers coaching staff and program, was named the Fred Beile/Hauff Mid-America Sports Men’s Outdoor Track and Field Staff-of-the-Year after leading Doane to the men’s team title (248 points).
The 2026 GPAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships were held in Fremont, Nebraska, and were hosted by Midland University at Heedum Field.
The top eight in each event and top three relays are considered GPAC All-Conference for Indoor Track and Field. The NAIA National Outdoor Track and Field Champions are May 20-22, 2026, at Karl Straus Track in Asheville, North Carolina.
