GPAC Women’s Soccer Tournament Pairings

(Sioux City, Iowa) – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Postseason Women’s Soccer Tournament will open on Thursday, November 4, 2021, with quarterfinal round action.

The top seed in the tournament is regular season champion Jamestown (11-0-1 GPAC, 34 pts.), while Briar Cliff is the two seed (10-1-1 GPAC, 31 pts.). The three seed is Hastings (8-3-1 GPAC, 25 pts.). The fourth seed for the tournament is Midland (8-4 GPAC, 24 pts.). The five seed goes to Morningside (7-4-1 GPAC, 22 pts.), with the six seed to Concordia (6-4-2 GPAC, 20 pts.). The seventh seed is Dakota Wesleyan (6-5-1 GPAC, 19 pts.) and the eighth seed is Dordt (5-6-1 GPAC, 16 pts.).

Three points were awarded for every conference win, one for each tie, and no points for a conference loss in the GPAC standings.

The semifinals will be played on Tuesday, November 9, with the finals on Friday, November 12.

The winner of the GPAC Tournament will advance, as the league’s second automatic representative, to the NAIA National Women’s Soccer National Championship Opening Round (on November 18-20). If the regular season champion (Jamestown) wins the Tournament, the regular season runner-up (Briar Cliff) will receive the second NAIA berth to the postseason.

The NAIA Women’s Soccer National Championship Final Site is in Orange Beach, Alabama, November 30 – December 6, 2021, at the Orange Beach Sportsplex.
