Ames, Iowa — The Dordt Defender men were fourth in the final team standings of the Jimmie Spring Swing held in Ames, Iowa on Tuesday, March 29. Dordt finished tied with Dickinson State with a 327-319=646 and were five strokes out of third place in the seven team event won by Jamestown with a 302-311=613.
The Defenders were led by Blake Harmsen’s 75-82=157 and finished eighth. Freddy Bullock shot an 81-78=159 for 14th place in the 40-golfer field.
Tate Olson won the individual title with a 70-77=147 to pace Jamestown and he was two strokes in front of his nearest competitor.
Dordt is scheduled to compete at an event hosted by Park in Kansas City, Missouri on Monday and Tuesday, April 4 and 5.
