Iowa (RI) — Friday night will be a busy one at the offices of the Iowa High School Athletic Association in Boone as officials determine the playoff qualifiers and set the opening round pairings in classes 2A, 1A, A and 8-Player.

Jared Chizek, the football administrator for the Iowa High School Athletic Association, says the first task is to compile the scores.

Chizek says the goal is to have qualifiers released by 11 p.m.

After that, work begins on the first round pairings. Chizek says travel is a consideration when pairing teams together.

Chizek says the pairings will be released Saturday morning at 10 a.m.
