Improved Offensive Line A Key For Iowa State

For years the offensive line had been the weakest position group at Iowa State but now that unit is considered one of the best in the nation and has been a key part of the 10th ranked Cyclones’ run to the Fiesta Bowl.

ISU coach Matt Campbell has seen the transformation since he took the job prior to the 2016 season.

Campbell says rebuilding an offensive line takes time.

Campbell says they have tried to build quality and depth.

Junior center Colin Newell says the progress will continue and says several talented you players are waiting for their chance to get on the field.

Newel says he has seen tremendous progress during his career.

Newell says much of the credit should go to offensive line coach Jeff Myers.
