Iowa City, Iowa (RI) – The Iowa Hawkeye baseball team takes the Big Ten lead into Friday night’s start of a three- game series at home against Indiana.
The Hawkeyes have excelled in close games in posting a 17-4 record in the league race and coach Rick Heller that will need to continue down the stetch.
Iowa’s last three Big Ten series are against teams near the top of the standings. The Hoosiers are tied for sixth with a record of 12-9.
It matches the top two hitting teams in the Big Ten. The Hawkeyes lead the league in hitting while the Hoosiers are second.
